Overview
We understand that your baby’s birth is an intensely personal experience, and we want to empower you to choose the type of delivery you prefer. MarinHealth is one of the few hospitals in Marin and San Francisco Counties to offer both midwives and OB/GYNs for prenatal care and delivery, and we have both on site at the Medical Center 24/7.
MarinHealth Maternity Care offers the services and expertise you need, close to home, including UCSF Health experts to provide specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and premature or ill newborns. Our new, state-of-the-art Maternity Care unit includes luxurious birthing suites appointed with incredible amenities and technology to enhance your experience. There’s a surgical suite and team on site and at the ready 24/7 in the event of an emergency cesarean or other medical intervention. Should your baby need specialized care, our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is staffed round the clock by UCSF Health experts and fully equipped with the latest technology to support fragile newborns.
We encourage moms-to-be to complete a birth plan outlining preferences for delivery. We do all we can to honor them, prioritizing the health and safety of you and your baby.
